BEHIND THE AWARD-WINNING RENOVATION

There are projects that challenge you. And then there are projects that change you. This renovation was one of those projects for us.

What began as a vision slowly evolved through months of conversations, sketches, site meetings, demolition, problem solving, craftsmanship, and countless decisions made with intention along the way. Every inch of the space was carefully considered, not only for how it would look, but more importantly, for how it would feel to live in every single day.

As a design & build company, we have always believed that beautiful spaces must first function beautifully. Behind clean lines and finished details are hundreds of hidden decisions: structural work, layout optimization, lighting planning, storage solutions, drainage challenges, material selections, custom millwork, and coordination between trades. The details may not always be visible, but they are what ultimately shape the experience of a home.

This particular renovation came with its share of complexity. From technical construction challenges to carefully integrating custom-built elements into the existing structure, every phase required patience, precision, and collaboration. There were long days, difficult moments, and a level of attention to detail that only happens when people genuinely care deeply about the outcome.

Receiving a National Award for Housing Excellence from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association for this project is an incredible honour. One that still feels surreal for our family-run company based in the Okanagan.

But beyond the recognition itself, what means the most to us is what this award represents. It represents trust from our clients. It represents years of refining our craft. It represents the incredible trades, suppliers, collaborators, photographers, and supporters who help bring these spaces to life.

Most of all, this award would not exist without the incredible clients who trusted our vision and allowed us to bring these spaces to life. Renovation is never the work of one person, it takes a skilled team of trades, suppliers, collaborators, and craftsmen all working together toward the same goal.

We are deeply grateful to every person who played a role in this project and helped transform an idea into something truly meaningful.
