Fall weekend vibes. A good movie. A sound system that shakes the room. An image so clear you feel like you’re right there in the scene. And most importantly: popcorn, family and friends. Everyone together.

That’s what a home theater is really about.

The laughs, the traditions, the kids bringing their friends over, and those simple weekends at home that somehow become the memories we keep.

This before & after is a good reminder of why we love transforming homes: to create spaces that bring people together… and make you want to stay for the second movie… right after the first. 🍿

What movie is on your list tonight? 🎬

Introducing Atria Apartments. ✨

There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing months of ideas, drawings, selections, details and collaboration finally become a place people will call home.

Located in the heart of downtown Penticton, this 75-unit residential development was created in close collaboration with @appeltproperties and Sitka Concept, working alongside the team on the interior design direction from the finishes and material selections throughout the apartments to the design of the shared common spaces.

Our team also brought the common areas to life through custom millwork, adding warmth, craftsmanship and thoughtful detailing that make these spaces feel less like an apartment building and more like home.

We partnered with @museandmerchant and @scandesigns_furniture to source much of the furniture, along with artwork from local artists @leisamarieartist and @daynalonquistvip adding character, comfort and a strong sense of belonging throughout the shared spaces.

The vision was refined but welcoming. Contemporary, warm and timeless. A place that feels elevated while still feeling like home.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending the official ribbon cutting with our mayor and project partners. Standing inside the finished spaces and seeing the vision finally complete was a pretty special moment.

Beyond the design, I’m especially proud to have contributed to a project that adds 75 new rental homes to the heart of our community. Creating beautiful spaces matters, but creating places where people can build their lives and feel at home makes our work even more meaningful.

We’re incredibly proud of what was created here and grateful for the collaboration, trust and craftsmanship that brought Atria Apartments to life.

And perhaps most exciting of all? We’d love to do more of this. More thoughtful commercial spaces. More multi-residential design. More collaborations where great construction and intentional design come together.

Welcome home, Atria. 🤍

Some rooms are designed to be seen. Others are designed to be felt.

And sometimes, the detail that makes the room is the one you’re most nervous about. The wallpaper was one of the boldest choices in this renovation and the homeowners weren’t completely convinced at first.

Would it be too much? We knew it wouldn’t stand alone. It was one layer in a much bigger story. Once their art and music collection went up, everything clicked.

The wallpaper became the backdrop. Its warm tones connected beautifully with the copper ceiling above the bar, the walnut, stone and rich textures throughout the room, while giving their collection the stage it deserved. And because atmosphere is about more than what you see, we designed for what you hear and feel too.

Music flows through an integrated sound system, while smart lighting can be controlled from their phones, shifting the mood from an evening by the fire to a room full of friends without ever interrupting the moment.

That’s the beauty of a truly personal space. It doesn’t look like it could belong to anyone. It feels unmistakably like them.

After years of putting everyone else first, it was finally her turn. 💕

This bathroom renovation was created for a homeowner who has spent a lifetime caring for those around her. Now, she has a peaceful retreat designed just for her and her family. A space to slow down, breathe, and be reminded that she deserves beautiful things too.

Set within this charming 100+ year-old home in Summerland, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to honour its character while bringing comfort, warmth, and timeless style.

Sometimes, the most meaningful renovations aren’t about changing a house… they’re about taking care of the person who calls it home.
